The Samshield SpineShield saddle pad in the Swarovski version is a high-end saddle pad for jumping and eventing riders. It is the result of three years of research into the biomechanics and anatomy of the horse, and combines shock absorption, pressure distribution and stability with an anatomically optimised fit that follows the back and the wither.
About this saddle pad
The Samshield SpineShield saddle pad is the result of three years of intensive research into the biomechanics and anatomy of the horse. You can tell from the construction: this is not a quilted pad to which an anatomical cut was added afterwards, but a saddle pad designed from the horse's back outwards. It is made for jumping and eventing riders who work at a high level and take their horse's comfort into account.
The combination it is all about is shock absorption, pressure distribution and stability. Shock absorption takes up the impact that reaches the back in jumping and cross-country work. Pressure distribution spreads the load of the saddle over a larger surface instead of letting it come together on a few points. And stability keeps the whole from sliding, because a pad that shifts simply moves the pressure along with it. Together those three relieve your horse's back.
The fit is anatomically optimised, so the saddle pad follows the back and the wither without slipping or creasing. Creasing is a genuine point of attention with a thin, close-fitting saddle pad: a fold under the girth or under the saddle tree acts as a pressure point. The finish is subtle and neat, in the style Samshield stands for: discreet and technical. This version is the Swarovski version.
