The Samshield SpineShield Embroidery saddle pad is a saddle pad with a pressure-free zone over the spine, an ergonomic cut and an ultra-breathable micromesh lining. It was developed after three years of research into equine biomechanics and is made for riders who want to relieve their horse's back line without giving up fit or appearance.
About this saddle pad
The Samshield SpineShield saddle pad stands out first of all for the way it is built over the back line. Where a classic pad lays one continuous surface over the spine, this model deliberately keeps that zone free of pressure. That is the result of three years of research into equine biomechanics and it is at once the main difference with a standard pad: the pressure of the saddle is guided to the weight-bearing surfaces beside the spine instead of over it.
The ergonomic cut means the pad adapts to the shape of the saddle you use, which keeps it usable under different saddle models. The shock-absorbing material used takes up the impacts that arise between saddle and back during active work, which keeps the pad comfortable during a longer training session or a full competition day.
The lining is made of ultra-breathable micromesh. That is a fine-meshed material that lets air through and so keeps the air circulation between back and saddle going. The whole pad stays lightweight and well balanced, so you barely feel any extra material under your saddle.
