The Eskadron Bouclé Crystal saddle pad from the Classic Sports 26 collection is a quilted pad with a bouclé outer fabric, a waffle-structured cotton underside and a crystal binding on the glossy edge. It is intended for riders who want a well-kept, luxurious look under the saddle and at the same time a pad that stays put, both in training and at a competition.
About this saddle pad
What immediately sets the Eskadron Bouclé Crystal saddle pad apart from an ordinary pad is the outer fabric. Bouclé is a weave with a looped structure: the surface gains relief and a rich, almost textile depth instead of the flat sheen of a standard fabric. Under the saddle that gives a recognisable look, even from a distance in the arena.
Underneath that outer fabric sits a pad that mainly has to do its job. The filling is medium thick and stitched through with a large quilting pattern. That combination keeps the pad in shape, ensures it lies stably under the saddle and helps distribute pressure evenly across the back. The underside is made of waffle-structured cotton. It feels soft against the skin and helps regulate moisture, which you notice above all in more intensive work or on warmer days.
For the fit, Eskadron combines three features. In the saddle area there are silicone anti-slip panels that make the contact between saddle and pad grippier, so slipping stays limited. At the front, the Innostrap system handles the attachment, and the girth loops have a triple fixing option. Together they let you match the pad precisely to different saddles and girths, instead of leaving it to lie however it falls.
The finish matches the character of the line: a cord combined with a crystal binding on the glossy edge, rounded off with the Eskadron emblem and its matching pendant. The sparkle stays limited to the edges and the details, which keeps the whole thing looking well-kept without drawing attention away from the horse.
