The Premiere small clipper blade is the original replacement blade for the small trimmer of the Premiere Merlin Duo (item 801952). It is made from extra-hardened steel and clips at a cutting length of 0.66 mm. Meant for fine work on detail areas such as head, ears, legs and sheath, where a large blade cannot easily get in.

This blade carries item number 802942 and belongs to the small machine from the Merlin Duo set. That small trimmer is narrower and lighter than the large machine, so you can work accurately around small curves and sensitive spots.
The cutting length is 0.66 mm. That is a very short cut: hardly any hair is left standing. That is exactly what makes the blade suitable for finishing, where you want a clean transition without visible edges or tufts.
The steel is extra-hardened. A harder blade stays sharp for longer and holds its cutting edge better when you go through thicker or matted hair. That matters in detail work, because a blunt small blade pulls at the hair sooner than a wide blade that runs through easily.
The blade fits only the small trimmer of the Merlin Duo. The large machine from the same set takes the large blade for the Merlin.
